Grounded in mindfulness.
Guided by intention.
Designed to feel more human.

Stay Lifted Psychiatry & Wellness was founded by a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a background in critical care and adult mental health. Years in high-acuity settings shaped a deeper understanding of how complex mental health truly is. Those years also revealed what was often missing. Time. Presence. Thoughtful care.

This practice was created to offer something more spacious. Sessions where there is room to slow down. Space to listen carefully. Care that responds to the full context of your life, not only symptoms.

Mindfulness and intentionality influence the foundation of this work. Each decision is thoughtful. Each treatment plan reflects your goals, your values, and your lived experience. Medication remains one tool within a broader, integrative approach that supports long-term stability and meaningful change.

The name says it simply. Stay Lifted. A reflection of inner work, presence, and the belief that healing is the natural direction of a life lived with intention.

This is mental health care designed to feel different. Thoughtful. Collaborative. Human.

Support that grounds you.
Tools that lift you.

Care begins with slowing down. Not rushing to a diagnosis. Not jumping to a solution. Each evaluation starts with presence and curiosity. Your history. Your patterns. Your lived experience. The full context of your life.

Mindfulness-informed care is central to this approach. Drawing from mindfulness-based principles, sessions focus on awareness, emotional regulation, and understanding patterns rather than simply reacting to symptoms. This creates space for more thoughtful decisions and more sustainable change.

Medication, when appropriate, is integrated thoughtfully. It is not the only path forward. Lifestyle, nervous system regulation, sleep, stress, and meaning are considered alongside clinical treatment. The goal is not quick symptom suppression. The goal is steadiness, clarity, and long-term stability.

Care here is collaborative, grounded, and intentional. Designed to support both symptom relief and deeper change.

I Mindful awareness Understanding patterns and creating space between reaction and response.
II Integrative care Mind, body, lifestyle, and life context considered together.
III Evidence-informed Clinical science paired with thoughtful, individualized care.
IV Collaborative process Care built together, guided by your goals and values.

Thoughtful care.
Clear expectations.

Appointments are designed to allow time for meaningful conversation, thoughtful evaluation, and collaborative treatment planning.

What you might
want to know.

Who is this practice for?

Stay Lifted works with adults in Illinois navigating burnout, anxiety, depression, life transitions, attention concerns, and mood-related experiences. The practice is particularly well-suited to high-functioning professionals who want care that takes the full complexity of their lives seriously.

Are appointments in-person or virtual?

All sessions are conducted via secure telehealth. You can be seen from anywhere in Illinois — no commute, no waiting room, no rearranging your day.

Do you accept insurance?

Stay Lifted is a cash-pay practice. This structure means your care is guided entirely by your needs — not what an insurance provider will authorize. A Superbill can be provided upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

What happens at the initial evaluation?

The first appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation — a thorough conversation about your history, your current experience, your lifestyle, and your goals. It is the foundation for everything that follows. Nothing is rushed.

Can I work with you if I already have a therapist?

Yes. Many clients see me for medication management and psychiatric care while working with a therapist separately. I'm happy to coordinate with your current providers so your care feels cohesive and aligned.

How often will I need follow-up appointments?

Follow-up frequency is individualized and depends on your specific needs and where you are in treatment. Together we'll decide what schedule feels most supportive for you.

What if I'm in crisis?

Stay Lifted is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, please call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.

How do I get started?

Use the booking link in the Get Started section to request your initial evaluation or a complimentary 15-minute consultation. You'll hear back promptly with next steps.
